Frequently Asked Questions

What comes in this bundle?

This bundle includes one complete Big Wooly genuine wool dust mop with a lightweight 51" metal handle and one additional Big Wooly replacement wool mop head.

Why is having an extra replacement head useful?

An extra wool head lets you continue dusting while the other head is being washed and air dried. It also gives you a replacement ready when needed without purchasing another complete mop.

Does the wool become fluffier over time?

Yes. Because Sladust uses genuine wool yarn remnants from carpet mills in the southeastern United States, the fibers naturally expand with use. A new dust mop may appear flatter than one you've owned for years, but it contains the same amount of wool. With regular use, the wool becomes fuller and fluffier, giving it even more surface area for collecting dust.

Can the wool dust mop heads be washed?

Yes. Sladust wool dust mop heads are reusable and can be hand washed according to the care instructions. Allow the wool to air dry completely before using it again.

Does it work on hardwood floors?

Absolutely. Genuine wool with natural lanolin naturally attracts dust, pet hair and cobwebs while being gentle on hardwood, tile, laminate, vinyl, stone and other smooth surface floors.

What is the difference between the Big Wooly and Wooly Mammoth?

The primary difference is size. The Wooly Mammoth has an 11" × 24" dusting area, while the Big Wooly measures 11" × 18". Both are made with genuine wool and use the wool's natural lanolin to attract and hold dust.

Can this replace disposable dusting pads?

Yes. Unlike disposable dusting pads, genuine wool dust mop heads can be reused for years. Simply shake them out after routine use and hand wash them when needed, helping reduce the need for disposable cleaning products.

Is this good for pet hair?

Yes. Genuine wool naturally attracts pet hair along with dust, lint and cobwebs, making the Big Wooly especially useful in homes with pets.
